Incidents of parents threatening, abusing children caught on video

Two videos showing incidents of child abuse have been circulating online recently, drawing widespread outrage and condemnation from netizens.

In the first video, a man can be heard yelling loudly at a young boy saying that he should have sold the child off for $20,000 cash.

The man also smacked the boy over the head in the incident which occurred on May 20 at Buona Vista MRT station, reported citizen journalism website Stomp.

The father had been ranting about common parental woes, asking the boy if he thought that money grew on trees.

He also threatened the boy, saying: "I will take you by the legs, hold you upside down, let the blood flow to the head for five minutes."

The boy, who is seen holding a woman's hand, is silent throughout the man's rant.

In the second incident, a woman was caught on video repeatedly flipping and tossing a baby around.

In the one-minute video, the woman constantly tosses the baby around like a rag doll.

She also violently shakes the baby at the end of the disturbing clip, while the toddler can be heard crying throughout the entire ordeal.

It is unclear where the incident took place, but it has been viewed over 465,000 times since it was posted on Facebook on May 17.

A contributor, who alerted Stomp to the clip, said: "I think this needs to be shared, and it makes me really angry to see this."
