Four sisters, aged 20 to 35, were allegedly beaten up by policemen in Kolsewadi village in Kalyan district, in the northern Indian state of Maharashtra, after they went to the police station to lodge a complaint against a neighbour, Malaysia Nanban reported.
One of them accused a policeman of ripping off her clothes and taking pictures of her naked body.
It was reported that the sisters had taken a Rs2,000 (S$41) loan from the neighbour, who raised a ruckus on Sunday when he demanded a quick payment of the debt.
Both sides went to the police station to lodge their reports.
One of the victims returned to the police station on Monday to lodge a further report on the neighbour's continued harassment.
Instead, she was brought to a room where an officer allegedly tore off her clothes and took her pictures.
The frightened victim, who was accused of making a false report, called her three sisters. They were allegedly beaten up at the station by six to eight policemen.
