Indonesian minister dismisses Pertamina board

JAKARTA - Indonesia's state enterprises minister on Friday dismissed the entire board of directors of energy giant Pertamina, and said reforming its trading operations would be a top priority.

"To faster transform Pertamina into a world class company, today we decided to dismiss all board of directors," State Enterprise Minister Rini Soemarno told reporters.

She added that Pertamina's new management would be responsible for cleaning up the firm's oil trading division, Petral.

The minister said she was considering relocating Petral to Indonesia from its Hong Kong headquarters.
