Insurance firm offers payout if moon cannot be seen

If you can't spot the moon during the Mid-Autumn Festival due to bad weather, an insurance company based in China will pay "compensation", Nanyang Siang Pau reported.

Customers who pay premiums starting from 99 yuan (S$20) and will be paid amounts ranging from 50 yuan to 188 yuan if they are unable to spot the moon.

The special insurance scheme is being offered until Saturday.

However, it was reported that the response was lukewarm.
