Environment Ministry staff wear kariyushi shirts from Okinawa Prefecture in Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, on Monday. The "Cool Biz" campaign kicked off at companies and government offices nationwide on the day, meant to combat global warming by encouraging people to wear light clothing and keep the air conditioner at 28 C.
