Jatuporn claims four reds killed last night

Red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan Sunday claimed four red supporters and one Ramkhamhaeng student were killed in clashes at Ramkhamhaeng last night. Speaking to the reds at Rajamagala stadium, Jatuporn declared an end to the rally and asked red shirts to go home.

He said the decision is aimed to avoid confrontations and further loss of life.

Meanwhile Apiwat Nakpao, deputy president of Ramkamhaeng students organisation said there were about seven to eight men hid in the university compound and shot at students hiding there last night.

At that time, police failed to come to rescue the students. "We have to wait for more than two hours," said Apiwat who was in the compound during the chaos.
