A video showing a group of Chinese women allegedly being taught how to use social media to prostitute themselves has gone viral on the Internet.
The approximately 2-minute long video shows a female teacher speaking in front of a group of young women on the topic of how they can better sell their services through social media. Descriptions of the video allege that the women are prostitutes and are working in China.
"Everybody wants to get more clients, get more money," the lecturer starts off as saying. She then goes on to explain how the girls can earn more money through popular Chinese social media sites such as Momo, WeChat and Weibo.
After making her point on the value of social media marketing, she goes on to teach the class on the importance of having good online photos to attract potential customers.
The teacher also stressed that they should maintain contact with higher-level customers and avoid wasting time on "diaosi," an internet slang word for loser, The Nanfang Insider reported.
The authenticity of the video or the claims made have not been verified, but it has spread on several video hosting websites such as Youku, Sohu and YouTube.
