Two drug suspects were arrested yesterday and their assets worth Bt114 million (S$4.6 m)were seized in Trat's Muang district, said Provincial Police Region 2 commander Lt-General Thanet Pinmuang-ngam yesterday.

The suspects, Lawan Jamreung and Ratchapon Chinnuthit, were wanted on Rayong Court warrants after being charged with possessing drugs with intent to sell and aiding drug trafficking.

There seized assets consist of 20 plots worth Bt34 million, seven houses worth Bt41 million, a Bt5.5 million condominium unit, gold bars worth Bt21 million, gold ornaments worth Bt1.1 million, Bt1.7 million in cash, and nine cars.

This operation followed the previous arrest of drug suspects Wadarut Nildum, 23, and Arun Jaroenruay, 26, along with the seizure of 78,000 yaba pills in Rayong's Klaeng district in November 2012.

Wadarut was allegedly assigned by Lawan to deliver drugs to customers. Lawan reportedly had been arrested on drug charges in Trat on two previous occasions.
