A man in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, was detained for blackmailing a 70-year-old woman with her naked photos, reported Kwong Wah Yit Poh.
In the past six months, the woman handed over TWD$400,000 (S$17,500) to the man to stop him from distributing her photos.
According to the police, the man had called up the woman last October, claiming that her son needed about RM7,000 (S$2,581) to pay his medical fees.
Panicked, the woman gave the money to the man without checking with her family members.
Then, the man forced the woman to take off her clothes and took pictures of her naked before threatening to distribute these if she failed to give him more money.
The woman's plight only came to light after it was discovered by her son.
