Millionaires in majority in new Haryana Assembly
Indian Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah is welcomed by jubilant supporters at the BJP headquarters following election results for the Haryana and Maharashtra state assembly elections, in New Delhi.

Over 83 per cent of the legislators elected to the 13th legislative assembly in Haryana are millionaires.

The Haryana Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms said the average assets of legislators in the new assembly were Rs12.97 crores.

Among the parties, Indian National Lok Dal candidates were the richest with average assets of Rs13.01 crores followed by Congress members with assets of Rs12.45 crores.

BJP legislators have average assets of Rs10.5 crores, the study said.
