Modi pledges 'predictable, competitive' tax regime

NEW DELHI - Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi promised to forge a "predictable and competitive" tax regime Monday in an address to businessmen, delivered alongside US President Barack Obama.
"You will find a tax regime that is predictable and competitive," Modi told the gathering of US and Indian chief executives in New Delhi.
"We have removed some of the excesses of the past. We will soon address the remaining uncertainties."
