TOKYO- Global financial policy veteran Tatsuo Yamasaki will become Japan's vice finance minister for international affairs, the country's top currency diplomat, a government source with knowledge of the matter said on Tuesday.
Yamasaki, who currently heads the Ministry of Finance's International Bureau, is expected to assume his new post later this week, taking over from Mitsuhiro Furusawa, as part of a routine personnel reshuffle at the Ministry of Finance.
Masatsugu Asakawa will take over from Yamasaki as international bureau chief, the source told Reuters.
