Motorcyclist catches fire after riding too close to truck

GUANGZHOU - A female motorcyclist caught on fire after colliding with a nearby truck when making a turn on the road.

She was riding too close to the heavy vehicle having misgauged the distance between her motorbike and the truck.

The collision damaged the motorbike's oil tank causing it to leak then burst into flames.

The woman's pants also caught fire. She immediately hopped off her motorbike and tried to extinguish the flames.

Nearby motorists quickly went to her aid, helping her to remove her burning pants before hurrying off to locate fire extinguishers to put out the fire at the motorbike.

A police officer commended the quick-thinking bystanders saying that without their swift intervention, the motorbike might have caused a bigger explosion and more injuries.
