Park in Japan reopens fully after 2-month dengue virus closure

Yoyogi Park in Shibuya Ward, Tokyo, most of which had been closed due to a series of dengue virus infections linked to mosquitoes there, was reopened on Friday for the first time in about two months.

The Tokyo metropolitan government closed the northern part of the park after detecting the dengue virus in mosquitoes caught there on Sept. 4. However, as mosquitoes carrying the virus have not been found since late September, the Tokyo government lifted the closure
