Gathering public opinion on police force reform should be done in 30 days, deputy national police chief Pol General Chalermkiat Srivorakan said yesterday.

Chalermkiat said a meeting was held yesterday at the police head office to set a framework for the procedure of gathering opinions from the public, academics and those working with police.

The opinions of the relevant parties on what should be covered in police reform would then be analysed in depth.

He said the police would complete the task within 30 days, before handing in a report to the police reform committee, which is chaired by the national police chief.
