Regal Airport Hotel hosts Oscar-style gala to celebrate wins

SINGAPORE - Travel and fashion came together at an Oscar-styled party when Hong Kong's Regal Airport Hotel celebrated its wins after being named Best Airport Hotel in the World and in Asia-Pacific for the seventh and fourteenth time consecutively by Business Traveller UK edition.

The hotel transformed into the most glamorous spot in Hong Kong on Nov 13 when Chairman and CEO, Mr Y.S. Lo, and Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, Ms Poman Lo, welcomed international celebrities including top Chinese actor Donnie Yen and distinguished guests to the gala.

Other than highlighting the hotel's achievements in the travel industry, the festivities for the evening included a fashion show and a "Ten Best Fashion Visionaries" award presentation to honour the most stylish personalities in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China.

The fashion award not only recognises fashion elites but also motivators of fashion development, said the hotel. Among the winners named were actors Raymond Lam, Charlie Young, and singer, Juno Mak.

Vice-chairman Ms Lo said the hotel was proud to be number one again as the top airport hotel around the globe. She added that the hotel has the confidence to "keep this up" and also provide even better products and services for its guests.

Other than the two titles, the hotel also achieved the Silver Benchmarking Certificate from EarthCheck, an international accreditation for environmental protection.

Regal Hotel International is one of the largest hotel operators in Hong Kong and its branches can also be found in Shanghai, Weinan and Wuhan.

Regal Airport Hotel is the only accommodation connected directly to the passenger terminal of Hong Kong International Airport. Travellers can reach the hotel via an enclosed link bridge.

The hotel offers facilities for events and conferences including state-of-the-art banquet and meeting rooms, and 30 function rooms.
