Seoul ranks No. 10 in defence spending

South Korea ranked 10th in defence spending in 2014, according to an annual report.

The report on the world's top 15 defence-spending countries by Britain's International Institute for Strategic Studies showed that Seoul's defence expenditures amounted to US$34.4 billion (S$46.6 billion).

The US topped the list with defence spending of $581 billion, followed by China with US$129.4 billion, Saudi Arabia with US$80.8 billion, the UK with $61.8 billion, France with US$53.1 billion and Japan with US$47.7 billion.
