Shenzhen bride dressed up as old woman fails to keep her groom

A woman in Shenzhen came up with the most unusual plan to find out if her fiance's love was real. Unfortunately, her plan backfired.

According to Shanghaiist, the couple caused a stir on Dongmen Street when they were about to take wedding photos.

An argument broke out in public when the bride-to-be showed up looking like a 70-year-old woman. She had deliberately applied make-up to look like one. 

This was to test if her partner would still be committed to her when they grew old, as he was a philanderer and used to have many girlfriends.

Unfortunately, the man failed the test by demanding she remove her makeup, which she refused.

He then stomped off angrily and left her crying on the streets.

The commotion drew a large crowd, with some wondering if the whole thing was simply staged or if it was a publicity stunt.

When reporters asked the woman why she still wanted to marry the man if he was a womanizer, she explained, "Because he treats me really very well."
