SIA flight from Mumbai makes emergency landing in Kuala Lumpur

KUALA LUMPUR - A Singapore Airlines (SIA) plane was forced to make an emergency landing at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) on Sunday afternoon due to a technical problem, reported Bernama.

Flight SQ425 had departed Mumbai at 8.44am and was expected to arrive in Singapore at 4.44pm. However, it made an emergency at KLIA at 4.05pm.

A spokesman for Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd said: "The plane landed safely and all its passengers and crew were also reported to be safe, with no injury sustained.

According to Bernama, the cause of the incident was still being investigated.
