The Chief of Navy also visited the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Headquarters located at the Muara Naval Base, where he made a goodwill call on RBN Commander First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz Hj Mohd Tamit.

His arrival at the RBN Headquarters was met with a general salute. Rear Admiral Lai then inspected the guard of honour mounted by RBN personnel.

After the goodwill call, he was taken for a ship tour of KDDB Darulaman, one of the four offshore patrol vessels in the Darussalam class.

He also had the opportunity to visit the RBAF Defence Academy at the Sungai Akar Camp.

According to a press release, the RBN and RSN interact through various activities such as exercises, courses, meetings, seminars, conferences and exchanges of visits.
