Thai actress Aum in tie-up with Mama foods

Thailand's Mama foods are banking on a large boost to their sales this year after a 200 million baht (S$7,947,556) campaign with actress Patchrapa Chaichua, better known as Aum.

In a 45-second long commercial, the 36-year-old actress lends her star power to spice up Mama's already spicy Tom Yum Kung and Yen Ta Fo flavours.

According to Coconuts Bangkok and Bangkok Biz News, the instant noodle company aims to sell 10 billion baht worth of noodles this year, and expects that the campaign will help push sales up between 25 to 30 per cent.

Aum, who has graced many magazine covers in Thailand and is the first Thai to get a million Instagram followers, has endorsed many other brands in the past, and has been paid as much as 150,000 baht to make appearances at marketing events.
