Hong Kong's Chief Secretary for Administration Carrie Lam is scheduled to visit Brunei on July 26 to 27 to seek support for an early conclusion of the free trade agreement with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, said the Hong Kong government in its official website.
During her stay in Brunei, she will meet with senior officials to promote Hong Kong's role as a financial, trading and shipping centre and to enhance bilateral relations. She will also meet with local business leaders and visit a museum.
Prior to that, she will be in Singapore from July 23 to 25. While in the city state, she will officiate at the Spotlight Hong Kong in Singapore event, attend a gala dinner, speak at a business luncheon and meet with the Hong Kong people living and working in Singapore.
Lam, 58, was appointed chief secretary for administration on July 1, 2012.
