Two children aged five and seven-years-old were found with the help of Twitter users after they became separated from their father on a commuter train heading to Jakarta from Bogor last Thursday.
The children's father, 46-year-old Abdullah, told Warta Kota daily that someone posted the children's photos on the Info Commuter Line Twitter account @CommuterLine.
Abdullah then said that his neighbour had called him informing him that his children had been found and were at Gondangdia Station in Central Jakarta early on Friday morning. He rushed to Gondangdia Station only to find that his children had been moved to Depok Police station, West Java, as he lived in an area in that jurisdiction.
However, his children were not at the police station when he arrived. He said a police officer had sent his two children home by angkot (public minivan) with Rp 1,000 (S$21).
