Vietnamese toy shops violate quality regulations

VIETNAM - One hundred and fifty toy shops have been fined 73 million Vietnamese dong (S$4,430) for violating quality regulations following a two-month nationwide inspection.

Out of 464 toy shops investigated, 131 have been penalised for not providing accurate labeling on their products while 25 have been punished for selling products without a conformity regulation (CR) stamp.

The inspection was implemented by Ministry of Science and Technology in cooperation with relevant agencies.
