YOKOHAMA, Japan - Over 100 Pikachus, a virtual character from Pokemon and smartphone game Pokemon Go, paraded through the Japanese port city of Yokohama on Monday (August 14) as fans cheered on.

Some fans, who have watched or played Pokemon for over a decade, hailed from out of town to watch the parade of Pikachus.

The parade was a collaboration between the Yokohama city and the Pokemon Company, which would hold more events like it in the lead up to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
