Would-be-bank robber told to queue

GUANGDONG, China - A man wearing flip-flops and carrying a kitchen knife may have had the most embarrassing moment of his life when he tried to rob a bank in Heyuan, China's Guangdong province, reported Nandu.com yesterday.

He stormed into a bank and shouted, "I'm robbing you of money!", to staff on the other side of the counter behind a bulletproof glass screen.

The teller shouted back calmly: "You have to line up first!"

The would-be robber had to wait for two clients to complete their business before demanding money again.

His demand for 10,000 yuan (S$2,100) was declined after the teller found out there was only one yuan in his account. The man hit the glass screen with his knife a couple of times, then left.
