Rising Chinese featherweight star Xie Bin claimed an impressive submission victory as he made good on his pre-bout promise to finish Sor Sey with a power guillotine choke at ONE: REIGN OF KINGS.

The bout matched two 4-2 talents from the ONE Championship featherweight division, with China’s 20-year-old Xie going up against Cambodia’s 35-year-old Sey at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila, the Philippines on Friday, 27 July.

It was the younger man who held all the aces, as Xie dominated Sey in a comprehensive win that saw him lock up a bout-winning choke inside the opening two minutes.

The Tianjin Top Team product cut a much taller figure in the cage, and he looked to impose his size advantage over his opponent straight away, calmly pressuring Sey before changing levels and taking the Kun Khmer specialist to the mat.

Once the bout was on the canvas, the ONE Hefei Bantamweight Tournament Finalist wasted no time in moving to side control and peppering Sey with ground strikes.

The Chinese star then effortlessly transitioned from strikes to submissions, as he attempted a keylock, then switched to a choke as he forced the tap at the 1:55 mark of the opening round.

The win extends Xie’s impressive winning streak to four in a row, with three consecutive finishes, as the young Chinese star continues to impress on his way up the ONE featherweight ranks.

Aged just 20, it would seem like the best is still to come for one of the most exciting talents to emerge from China as he looks to become the first Chinese male athlete to capture a ONE World Title.
