SELF-TAUGHT make-up artist Nabilah Zulyadaini, 25, was bored staying at home as a housewife and decided to teach herself how to use cosmetics, Berita Harian reported.
Three years later, her hard work and dedication have paid off. Her Facebook page, Make up by Bellaz, has more than 700,000 followers, and she has been invited to conduct workshops in Brunei and Singapore.
One fan from Dubai even flew to Malaysia just to attend her classes, where she charges RM450 per student.
"I feel grateful because my husband quit his job to help manage this business. I was bored at home waiting for him to return from work, and the idea to venture into the make-up line came to me.
"It is now our main source of income," Nabilah said when contacted in Alor Setar, Kedah.
As many as 10,000 viewers would log on to watch her Facebook Live streams as Nabilah glams up in front of the camera.
Nabilah, who has never had any formal training in cosmetology, said it was touching when foreigners, who do not understand her northern Malay accent, are able to learn skills from her.
