300 job openings expected at new Westin Singapore

SINGAPORE  - An estimated 300 jobs will be created when The Westin Singapore opens in November this year. A mass recruitment drive to fill these positions will be held from July 9 to 10 at Asia Square.

The Westin Singapore will be the Westin Hotel and Resorts' first hotel in the country in more than 10 years.

Westin Hotels and Resorts has close to 200 hotels worldwide,40 of which are located in Asia Pacific.

General Manager of The Westin Singapore Lance Ourednik said in a press statement that the hotel will provide 'the same renewing experience for our associates as we do for our guests.

He said: "By offering healthy lifestyle choices as part of their well-being, not only do we keep our associates motivated, we also instill the true Westin spirit."

Some of the key initiatives which will be implemented include providing signature Heavenly® Pillows in the employee rest area, integrating the SuperFoodsRX concept into the associate cafeteria menu, supporting fitness activities with its innovative WestinWORKOUT® programmes, as well as offering a games and recreational room.

Spanning the upper levels of the brand new Asia Square Tower 2, the 305-room hotel is currently one of the biggest construction projects being undertaken in the CBD. It is also the first-ever integrated upper upscale hotel located within an office building in Singapore.
