SINGAPORE - A total of 4,170 new flats have been launched for sale under the February 2016 Build-To-Order (BTO) exercise, HDB said on Wednesday.
The flats are spread across three projects located in two non-mature towns, Bukit Batok and Sengkang, and Bidadari, a mature estate.
This is the first BTO exercise of the year, and is the first tranche of a total of 18,000 flats planned for the whole year.
In addition to normal flat types, both 2-room flexi and three-generation (3Gen) flats are also offered in this exercise.
According to HDB, eligible first-timer families can apply for up to $80,000 of housing grants, comprising the Additional CPF Housing Grant of up to $40,000 and the Special CPF Housing Grant of up to $40,000.
With these grants, 2-room flexi flats in Sengkang with a selling price of $80,000 can be bought for just $4,000, which is the minimum payment of 5 per cent of the published price.
When grants are included, 4-room flats in Sengkang and Bukit Batok can be bought for $212,000 and $211,000 respetively.
In contrast, prices for 2-room flexi flats in Alkaff Oasis, Bidadari, start from $154,000, or $114,000 including grants. This is also the only estate in the current exercise where 3Gen flats are being offered. These flats can be bought for prices starting from $543,000 when grants are included.
4-room and 5-room flats in the mature estate can be bought from $425,000 and $536,000 respectively, when grants are included.
