SINGAPORE - Home prices in the Queenstown and Holland Village areas have continued their recent sky-high trend, after a five-room Housing and Development (HDB) flat in the area became the latest to be sold for more than $900,000.

The unit at Buona Vista Court along Holland Drive fetched $945,000. It is located between the 19th and 21st floors at Block 18C, and has an area of 1,259.38 sq ft.

The price tag works out to approximately $750 per sq ft.

The flat is located just 400m away from both the Holland Village and Buona Vista MRT stations. It is also close to The Star Vista shopping mall, as well as the trendy bars and restaurants in the heart of the Holland Village area.

According to figures published on HDB's website, a total of four five-room flats in the Queenstown area have crossed the $900,000 mark so far this year. In 2015, 15 such flats changed hands for $900,000 or more.

The most expensive was another unit at Buona Vista Court, which sold for $955,000 in March.

Meanwhile, another high-floor five-roomer at the nearby Ghim Moh Link fetched an auspicious-sounding $948,888 in February.

Flats are not the only housing type in Queenstown to be doing well. It was also previously reported that a rare HDB terrace house in the area was sold for $980,000 in April.

According to real estate portal SRX Property, a total of 1,828 HDB resale flats were sold in April, the highest number in close to three years since property cooling measures were introduced.
