DPM Muhyiddin on 1MDB probe: Task force will do its best and fairly

MUAR - Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin expressed confidence that the special task force set up to investigate all allegations over 1Malaysia Development Berhad will conduct its probe in a transparent and fair manner.

All parties, he said, should also have confidence in the task force.

“I fully support the special task force and I agree that the matter should be quickly resolved to restore the current situation, which is worrying many people,” he said at a buka puasa function organised by Pagoh Umno in Kampung Hujung Tambak Mosque in Gersik, Ledang, yesterday.

“The investigation must be transparent and according to the law – without fear or favour,” he added.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail, Bank Negara Malaysia Governor Tan Sri Zeti Akhtar Aziz, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar and Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Abu Kassim Mohamed were appointed as members of the task force. — Bernama
