Employers must issue monthly itemised payslips from April 1

SINGAPORE - From Friday (Apr 1), all employers will be required to issue itemised payslips to employees under the Employment Act, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) announced on Thursday (March 31).

MOM said that the changes have been implemented to improve employment standards and facilitate the resolution of any employment-related disputes.

The itemised payslips are to be given at least once a month together with payment to the employee, otherwise it has to be issued within three working days of payment.

Employers are also required to give the payslip together with outstanding salary in cases of termination or dismissal.

Employers must also keep a record of all payslips issued.
