A good bedroom form can enhance our positive energy and act as a conducive environment to boost our health.
Your bedroom may be lavishly designed with dedicated theme, imported material and expensive furniture, but try to think about this: if you still find yourselves waking up feeling tired and restless than ever, the luxuries of your room will only remain as what it is: a superficial addition.
This is why the practice of Feng Shui takes into account the internal and external environmental factors as well.
For instance, a bedroom can be situated in a positive sector of a home, but if the bed is placed in the wrong position, negative factors will still exist in the external and internal environment and as a result, attract negative implications.

What is Bedroom Feng Shui
For Yang House Feng Shui, the bedroom is one of the three most important sectors after the kitchen and the main door.
And remember, at the core and root of Feng Shui is the goal of harnessing Sheng Qi, and minimising Sha Qi.
As such, we need to bear this philosophy in our mind when we are evaluating the bed position and bedroom sector.
Achieving a good bedroom form is easier said than done.
For instance, before we even begin to evaluate the bedroom, a complete Feng Shui audit needs to be performed to assess the direction of the main door, the Flying Star sectors, the internal and external factors, and lastly, the surrounding environment.
Several health factors are associated with bedroom Feng Shui and here's what your layout may look like and the effects it could be drawing.
Shape of the bedroom
As mentioned in the previous article, the square and rectangular shapes are some of the highly preferred choices for your bedroom.
We can, of course, choose irregular shapes like circular, triangular, T-shape, or even dumbbell shape for our bedroom-but as these irregular designs create an imbalanced Qi flow to the whole space, they are not at all encouraged.
We all know that an imbalanced Qi can lead to emotional instability, disturbed sleep, and lethargy-so it's advisable to stick to the tried-and-tested.
Bed against solid wall
This is another common general "rule" of Feng Shui that everyone seems to know, but yet, when it comes to the reasoning behind the action, not many of us are adept at it.
The reason is simple and clear enough, sleeping is a Yin activity and thus, it needs a Yin feaure like the wall-solid and immobile-to act as a support to the bed.
Placing the bed at a "Yang" sector, on the other hand, will create an imbalanced Qi flow and this will influence our sleeping behaviour and subsequently our health, too.
Also, some of us may be driven to tap favourable direction at every corner of our house-including our bedrooms.
If the favourable direction causes the bed to be positioned at an angle where its headboard is against a corner, beware as bigger headache and more problems could be expected by the occupants.
While they may have achieved their objectives in tapping the favourable direction, they have also at the same time, created Sha Qi that points directly to their head.
As such, not only they are not minimising the Sha Qi in the room, they are also negatively affecting the Sheng Qi in there as well.
Bed with windows at the back
You must know that windows belong to the Yang features.
As such, placing the headboard of the bed against the window can inadvertently create an imbalanced flow of Qi to the entire room.
At the same time, strong wind can seep through the window and hits your head as you sleep, causing you sleepless nights and affected health, so think twice about putting your bed in such position.
Things may not be as irrevocable as they may seem, however, as you can solve this problems by using thick curtains and ensure windows are tightly closed when you're fast asleep.
Feet pointing to the room door
If you're trying to foster a peaceful sleeping pattern, this is the position you should avoid.
If your feet are pointing towards the room door, the Qi will rush in through the door and crashes into your bed directly, causing restless night.
The solution is fairly simple, just move the bed to a position where it is not in direct alignment with the bedroom door.
