Professional low power memory solution Fabless company JSC, made known sampling of a new high-speed, self-refresh OctaRAM based on JSC's low-pin-count interface, which announced the industry's fastest Octa serial interface RAM, the OctaRAM JSC64SS product family.

OctaRAM provides designers with the next generation performance level of x8 I/O serial interface products with an operating frequency of up to 200MHz and transmission speeds of up to 400MB/s. This world class leading performance aids designers to meet the ever increasing demands of In-vehicle entertainment, automotive cluster, and IoT.

By combining JSC's OctaRAM and MXIC's OctaFlash components on the shared bus, chipset providers can reduce controller pincount, accommodate smaller packages, simplify PCB designs, and potentially replace or reduce DRAM, resulting in significant cost savings while dramatically improving performance.

Meeting the ever-increasing demand for vehicle telematics bandwidth, OctaRAM provides the fastest read access operation frequency in the industry, 200MHz, and supports DTR (Double Transfer Rate) configurations by allowing a maximum transfer rate of 400MB/s.

The OctaRAM product line offers both 1.8V and 3.0V options, covering 32Mb, 64Mb, 128Mb densities. OctaRAM samples are currently available.
