MAS reviewing how Sibor will be set, strengthened

A review is being conducted on how the Singapore interbank offered rate (Sibor) is set and to see if its fundamentals can be strengthened, said Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) board member Lawrence Wong.

This comes after a scandal involving the London interbank offered rate in July, when several international banks were investigated for "fixing" the rates.
