Here's a smart marketing move on UOB's part.
Targeting Singapore millennials, the bank has just launched a brand new credit card called YOLO. Not up to speed with internet slang? That simply means "You Only Live Once". With the new card, you can now be part of the cool gang.

According to an interview with The Straits Times, UOB's millennials customers aged between 26 to 35, spend a considerably higher amount of money on food and travel than their older counterparts - more so specifically, they both have a 13 per cent difference.
The real highlight of YOLO is the design of the card. As you can see from the picture above, the 16-digit card numbers are assembled in a 4-by-4 column row. This makes it easier to read the digits when we're shopping or making payment online.
Dining, entertainment, travel
On its official site, YOLO card holders will get to enjoy exciting perks like cash rebates, priority and free access to bars and clubs, quarterly blockbuster screening events, and complimentary upgrades and travel packages.
Echoing our news earlier today where our smartphones can now be used as an EZ-Link card, YOLO card holders will get the first dibs to make contact-less payments with tokenised security.
Users can simply tap their Android smartphones at over 10,000 terminals in Singapore via the mobile app UOB Mighty.
It's such a simple yet clever idea. I only wonder why it's taken so long to figure it out. Could this spark off a trend?
