JAKARTA, Indonesia, Sept. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Leveraging the power of Oracle Cloud Platform to support the Mudik Bareng BUMN 2018* program, Jasa Raharja, the organization responsible for coordinating the program, has helped over 204,000 homecoming Indonesians this year. This is an increase of more than 70 percent over the previous year. The number of Mudik Gratis destination cities has also increased year by year, from 77 cities in 2016 and 84 cities in 2017, to become 164 cities this year.

Jasa Raharja announced the results as part of its "Mudik Bareng BUMN 2018". The BUMN Mudik program is a complementary initiative by 62 Indonesian state-owned enterprises, led by Jasa Raharja. It transports city-dwelling residents home via land, sea and air travel services available during the Hari Raya period.

"Our Mudik Bareng BUMN program has been very well-received over the years. Every year, we get an increasing number of travel applicants on our public site, and thus needed a platform that can help us keep up to date of all community members who registered on the Mudik Bareng BUMN program anytime and anywhere, all in real time. Oracle Mobile Cloud Service provides a cost-effective cloud solution that is perfect for Mudik Bareng BUMN's fluctuating temporary and seasonal requirements," said Tri Haryanto, Executive Vice President for ICT, Jasa Raharja.

"We are thrilled to assist Jasa Raharja in making the Mudik program a big success this Ramadan season through our cloud platform and Oracle Mobile Cloud Service. The adoption of cloud solutions brings a number of benefits to organisations, as well as for nationwide initiatives such as this, the scalability and efficiency of cloud technology are crucial," said Davian Omas, Acting Managing Director, Indonesia, Oracle. "Our modern, integrated cloud solutions deliver deep end-to-end functionality and extensive capability to support the Mudik Bareng BUMN registration system, enhancing the site's scalability."

Spurred on by the success of this year's Mudik Bareng BUMN program, Jasa Raharja will continue to use its Oracle cloud platform solutions to cater yearly for the seasonal crowds and has plans to keep leveraging Oracle Cloud Platform for future Mudik Bareng BUMN Program.
