Pops for style

When Sydney fashion presenter Yvette King moved here a year ago, she wanted a home near the sea.

"I come from the harbour city and I'm obsessed with water," says the 29-year-old Korean-Australian, who hosted last year's Digital Fashion Week and style show Fashion Basics for MediaCorp.

Which is why she was sold on the waterfront residential condominium, Reflections at Keppel Bay, after a quick Google search.

"A lot of the apartments that my husband and I looked at were near the beach, such as in East Coast, but this is the only one that's on water."

She lives in the rented 1,100 sq ft apartment with her husband Benjamin, 29, and a 31/2-year-old pug Kingsley.

The couple relocated to Singapore as they wanted to live in Asia - she was in talks with Beam Artistes, which now manages her, and her husband got a job with Google Singapore.

When it came to decorating, King went for a minimalist whitewashed interior with pops of colour.

Hence a large floral painting greets visitors in the two- bedroom apartment, while a pop art portrait of supermodel Kate Moss takes pride of place in her bedroom.
