Qingjian Realty launches survey to seek young couples' inputs on smart homes

SINGAPORE - What does smart living mean to young couples in Singapore?

Chinese property developer Qingjian Realty will seek out the opinions of about 100 respondents through a survey to find out young couples' attitudes towards smart living.

It will also ask young couples about features they would like to see in a smart executive condominium (EC).

The survey is being conducted ahead of the launch of Singapore's first smart EC and the opening of the smart EC showroom in the first quarter of 2016, Qingjian Realty said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 6).

In February last year, the developer signed a memorandum of understanding with Samsung Asia to integrate smart living technology into new housing developments, The Business Times reported.

These smart technologies include a refrigerator that orders groceries when its contents run low, a mirror that reflects a user's schedule and a coffee pot that turns on automatically when a person wakes up.

Qingjian Realty's General Manager, Mr Li Jun, said that technology has immense potential to positively impact lifestyles.

"To build a smart home that supports the integration of technology to offer homeowners a seamless connection and greater convenience, we need to find out the lifestyle aspirations that they have for their dream homes," he added.

Couples who wish to participate in the survey can visit Qingjian's Facebook page for more details.
