The Singapore Exchange (SGX) is launching a campaign tomorrow to encourage younger people to considering share investing.
The initiative comprises a hands-on event, digital initiatives, including an interactive online tool, the launch of an SGX mobile application, as well as a weekly radio programme.
The My First Stock Carnival, which starts today at Cathay Cineleisure from 11am to 8pm and ends on Sunday, aims to show those aged 18 to 30 how to get started on investing.
A resource centre will provide information and tools for investing, while SGX staff will show visitors how to select their first investment.
Participants will also be given a My First Stock Guidebook to help them learn about investing.
Six brokers will be on hand as well to help investors open accounts, activate their first transaction and explain fee promotions and other initiatives.
The carnival will also include the SGX's launch of its Investor Roadmap, an interactive online tool designed to help new investors get started on their investments.
A mobile app for Android and iOS will be released as well to give investors market information on the go.
The campaign moves to radio from March 3 when the SGX will provide content for a weekly 30-minute programme on MediaCorp's 938LIVE called Dollars And Sense.
Experts from the exchange and other organisations will deal with various aspects of investing and listeners can call in with questions.
It will be broadcast every Tuesday at 12.30pm and repeated on Saturdays at 8.30pm.
