TEXAS - Royal Dutch Shell Plc said it isolated a leak in a valve at an unspecified unit at its 327,000 barrel-per-day Deer Park, Texas, refinery on Tuesday morning.
There was no danger to the surrounding community or any injuries due to the incident, which led to emissions, company spokeswoman Destin Singleton said.
The company previously reported an upset of the crude column, which caused emissions from the distilling unit No. 2 at the Deer Park plant, according to a filing with state regulators.
The Deer Park refinery is a 50-50 joint venture of Shell and Mexico's national oil company, Pemex.
