SINGAPORE - Spring Singapore has warned companies against using their logo and name without permission, following such misuse on a website that claims to offer the Innovation & Capability Voucher (ICV) to small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
Emails with "Spring Singapore" as the sender's name have also been sent out to several SMEs, directing them to the website at www.singaporegrants.com.
Spring clarified in a statement today that it is not affiliated with and does not endorse the website and the services it provides.
The enterprise development agency also noted that a number of service providers are misleading SMEs to believe that they can apply for the ICV through their own websites.
The ICV scheme is a Spring initiative that allows Singapore SMEs to claim up to two $5,000 vouchers for implementing solutions.
SMEs are advised to exercise caution when approached by any service provider that claims to be supported by Spring. The authenticity of such claims can be verified by contacting EnterpriseOne at 6898 1800 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
