Spackman Entertainment Group's Frame Pictures Secures Camera Equipment Deal for Upcoming Korean Film, Deceptive Murder

- Performance of Frame Pictures expected to contribute positively to Group's FY2017 results

SINGAPORE, Aug. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Spackman Entertainment Group Limited ("Spackman Entertainment Group" or the "Company" and together with its subsidiaries, the "Group"), one of Korea's leading entertainment production groups, wishes to announce that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Frame Pictures Co., Ltd. ("Frame Pictures") has secured the contract to supply camera systems and equipment for the upcoming crime thriller movie, DECEPTIVE MURDER. The total contract value of this project is KRW220 million (approximately US$193,785).

This contract is the 13th project that Frame Pictures has secured year-to-date 2017, which include two of the top-rated Korean dramas, TUNNEL and VOICE. Presently, Frame Pictures is leasing its camera sets to two Korean movies namely, THE BODY and LIVE UP TO YOUR NAME, and two Korean dramas that are currently on-air, SAVE ME and BAD BOY SEASON 2.

Mr. Charles Spackman, Executive Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Spackman Entertainment Group, said, "Frame Pictures has procured 13 projects so far in 2017 and is on pace to surpass last year's total of 20. It is bidding for another 15 new projects for the remaining part of the fiscal year. On average, the completed projects thus far have resulted in an EBITDA margin of over 50%. Moreover, in order to increase revenue per project in the future, Frame Pictures plans to additionally provide post-production services including sound and color mixing. We expect the continuity of such deals and introduction of add-on services to help the Group deliver a more consistent revenue stream and positively add to the Group's financials for the year."

Frame Pictures is a leading movie/drama equipment leasing business in Korea. Established in 2004 by veteran director of photography, Mr. Kim Jun-young, Frame Pictures has worked with over 25 top directors and provided the camera and lighting equipment for some of Korea's most notable drama and movie projects including THE LEGEND OF THE BLUE SEA (2016) featuring Jeon Ji-hyeon and Lee Min-ho, as well as VETERAN (2015), the number one movie at the Korean box office in 2015 starring Yoo Ah-in. Frame also manages a Director of Photography and placed its cinematographers in 12 films including ANTIQUE (2008), produced by Spackman Entertainment Group's indirectly wholly-owned subsidiary, Zip Cinema Co.
