Statistics show that STProperty is Singapore's fastest growing property portal

STProperty has emerged - since its recent launch last year - as the fastest growing property portal to address consumers’ needs to buy, sell or rent properties in the local online market, vis-à-vis its counterparts.

According to several independent bodies, findings suggest that STProperty could very well be poised to be an up-and-coming local property site to meet the complex and intricate requirements of online property seekers in the coming years, as evident from its fast growing traffic.

comScore shows that since STProperty’s revamp, its traffic has increased by leaps and bounds, with a 180 per cent increase in visitorship. It overtook one of its competitors by a wide margin while another leading incumbent suffered a huge dip with a 22 per cent droppage. In a short span of eight months, STProperty saw a 50 per cent increase in terms of page views while PropertyGuru, a then-leading competitor saw an 18 per cent decrease.

It is observed that STProperty is effectively garnering support from real estate agents. Ms Evangelyn Lee, Associate Director of REMAX says: "STProperty is effective in generating quality leads for me. Within just three days of posting my rental listings, I got a call which materialised into a viewing and then followed by an offer to the owner. In our line, results are everything and in this case, it speaks for itself."

On the social media front, STProperty boasts of over 100,000 fans on Facebook till date – a whopping 2.5 times more than two of the competitors combined.

The figures indicate that STProperty is fast gaining popularity among Internet-savvy users and Gen Y-ers (who form the largest fan base). Mr Jeffrey Ning, a Twitter member believes that “STProperty had stealthily improved its search engine (algorithm) and property listings", as evident from his post on 16 November 2012.

The results are reflective of STProperty's vision of catering to its users’ requirements and delivering a relevant product that will truly benefit them. Mr Johnson Goh, Vice President and Head of ST701, SPH’s Online Classifieds says: “Property remains very much as a core topic of concern amongst home seekers and investors in Singapore and the region. We are heartened that we are able to meet the market's needs well, based on the positive results and responses garnered.

"In view of our exponential development and an increasing use of the digital media for property search, we are confident that more people will be drawn to our site in months to come. As we continue to innovate and bring forth advanced features to live up our partners' and users' expectations, we are confident that STProperty will be a new force to be reckoned with," he adds.
