For three bachelors and a bachelorette here, they worked with interior designers to create chic pads perfect for one.

This 2,174 sq ft penthouse at Carribean At Keppel Bay condominium has it all for the unfettered male - from a well-equipped kitchen to a surround-sound entertainment system.

The cherry on the pie? A jacuzzi and barbecue pit on the roof.

The owner is a 37-year-old banker, a Singaporean permanent resident who moved here from Switzerland about six years ago.

Declining to be named, he says: "I'm very spoilt, but I make a decent amount to afford this. I'm staying here for a long time, which is why I didn't mind spending the money."

Working with Jael Ang of interior design firm Taims Interior, the owner spent about $300,000 on his pad - double of what he had budgeted originally.

Much of the cost spiralled because he wanted only the best.
