Passersby in China lift car to rescue boy after he's knocked down

A boy in China managed to cheat death after getting knocked down by a car on the street, thanks to the assistance of helpful passersby.

CCTV cameras captured the boy chasing his friend across a street in Xinxiang, Henan province when a car mowed him over, pinning him underneath the car.

Thankfully for the boy, at least a dozen passersby rushed to his aid, lifting the car to rescue him.

The boy was sent to hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition, CGTN reported in a video uploaded on Aug 17.

This is the second reported case this month where helpful bystanders in China have united to help out someone in need.

On Aug 3, Beijing commuters at Dongzhimen station joined hands with train station staff and police officers to help free a trapped commuter who jumped over the barricade just as a train pulled in.

When the man was freed after their concerted effort, everyone broke into applause.

I guess that's faith in humanity restored, at least for the moment.
