WATCH: Good Samaritans rescue man trapped under car in China

Good Samaritans lifted a car to free a trapped man on June 2 in Yibin City, southwest China's Sichuan Province.

A surveillance video shows a red car hitting two pedestrians and pinning one of them under it.

Witnesses said one is a woman 60-70 years old who was run over by the car with major injuries and the other is a young man in his 20s who was trapped under the car.

Dozens of kind-hearted people quickly came to the rescue, lifting the car and took him out from under it.

Witnesses said the man was conscious after being pulled out from under the car.

However, the woman suffered major injuries.

The two were quickly sent to hospital.

"Life is invaluable. The first thing to do is to save life," said Mr Zhang, a good Samaritan.

"It is out of instinct. He was trapped. My first reaction is to help him out," said Mr Huang, another good Samaritan.

The investigation into the accident is underway.
