<p>PUTIAN, China - A railway worker saved a young woman who attempted to commit suicide in Putian City, east China's Fujian Province on Wednesday.</p>

<p>Surveillance footage shows a young woman waiting at the platform.</p>

<p>She suddenly attempts to jump onto the railway tracks just as the train arrives.</p>

<p>A 54-year-old railway worker, Weng Jianzhong, caught her arm and pulled her back to the platform.</p>

<p>The woman in her twenties burst into tears after being pulled to safety.</p>

<p>She was taken to hospital and suffered no serious injuries.</p>

<p>According to railway regulations, Weng received 6,000 yuan (S$1,200) as a reward.</p>
