Home-grown cosmetics brand Skin Inc is taking on the giants of the cosmetics world by launching an online portal on Friday.
A soft launch of the portal has already brought orders from Singapore, the United States, Australia, Malaysia, Hong Kong and China, said Ms Avalyn Lim, Skin Inc's global brand strategy and product director.
"We believe that e-commerce really is the future of business today and is going to be one of the core growth engines of our business," she added.
The firm, which was founded in 2007, has created skin-care serums to tackle problems such as freckles, acne and lines in collaboration with research and development centres in Japan.
It is also closing a round of funding. It did not disclose the amount it is raising but the money will be used for marketing and product development.
